About
From MasterChef to Wine & Cheese Connoisseur: My Culinary Journey
My journey with food, wine, and cheese began with a deep passion for flavors, craftsmanship, and storytelling through cuisine. In 2010, I had the incredible opportunity to compete in MasterChef India Season 1, where I finished as the Runner up, an experience that changed my life. Fueled by my love for baking and culinary arts, I went on to author The Daily Gourmet Cookbook (2013) and founded The Culinaria, a cooking school in Dehradun that I ran from 2011 to 2016. My passion for artisanal food also led me to create The Daily Gourmet, an artisnal Indian food brand that has been thriving since 2012.
When I moved to Singapore in 2019, I found myself drawn to the intricate world of wine and cheese. I pursued WSET Levels 1, 2, and 3 in Wine and am currently working towards the prestigious WSET Level 4 Diploma. My love for cheese also led me to complete Levels 1, 2, and 3, earning me the title of Fellow at the Academy of Cheese, London.
Wanting to share this knowledge and make the world of wine and cheese more approachable, I founded Fraise et Fromage [fraiz-ay-fromaj] Through engaging, hands-on workshops, I help people discover the magic of pairing, making it fun, accessible, and enrichingwhether you’re just starting out or already a connoisseur.
For me, food is more than just sustenance; it’s an experience, a story, and a way to bring people together. I invite you to join me in exploring the fascinating world of wine and cheese one sip, one bite, and one unforgettable moment at a time.
